I complained to HR the next day who said they couldn't do anything since I didn't know his name or employee ID.

I worked in a reputed company in Bangalore for about a year. I'd take the company bus back home. This bus is exclusive to the employees.
After a particularly tiring day at work, I sat by the window. There was a male employee who sat next to me. Nothing abnormal, it was all good.

At some point I had dozed off and woke up suddenly when it felt like somebody was touching my chest. I looked around to see the bus almost empty, but that man was still seated next to me. This was strange since it was normal practice to occupy empty seats as people alighted the bus at their respective stops back home.

I was wide awake now, just looking out the window, when I felt him trying to feel me up through the openings of my sleeves.
I had caught him red handed and was beyond shocked. I confronted him right away and berated him. At this point, he became very defensive and started apologizing.I caught hold of his ID badge and refused to let go. Unfortunately for me, the bus had stopped at a traffic light, and he just bolted out the bus.

I complained to HR the next day who said they couldn't do anything since I didn't know his name or employee ID. I didn't know what was more disheartening and hard to deal with. The fact that a fellow employee was capable of such a cheap act, or that the HR department didn't seem to think this was a real problem.

I was wearing Sleeveless kurta when the incident happened
